One of the factors that most reduces the real cost of a solar installation is the public incentives and tax deductions available. In Andalusia, in 2026, there are three levels of support that can be combined. Here's a summary; you'll always find the updated details on our tax incentives page.
The deduction for energy-efficiency home improvement works applies in three tiers (20%, 40% and 60% of the investment), depending on the type of work and the energy rating improvement achieved. The 60% tier is the most common for photovoltaic installations on single-family houses, with tax savings that can reach €3,000 a year. It requires an Energy Performance Certificate before and after the work.
Each city council decides whether to offer rebates on property tax (IBI) and on the construction/works tax (ICIO). In Malaga city, for example, there's a 15% IBI rebate for 3 years and up to 95% on ICIO for non-profit self-consumption installations. If your installation is in Marbella, Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmadena or Granada, conditions may vary — we can help you check before quoting.
The Junta de Andalucía channels its self-consumption incentives through the INEA programme (Incentivos para el Uso Eficiente de la Energía en Andalucía). The line for businesses and the self-employed has been open since November 2025; the line for private houses is pending publication in the Andalusian Official Gazette (BOJA), with opening expected during 2026. We'll let you know as soon as it opens.
